Neugebauer Announces New Abilene Staffer and a Promotion in Washington Office

Mar 7, 2014

WASHINGTON, DC—Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) announced two key staff changes today.  Lauren Sanders has been hired as the District Representative in Abilene, and Libby Hambleton, the Legislative Correspondent in Neugebauer’s Washington office, has been promoted to Press Assistant.

Sanders will be serving constituents in the southeast portion of District 19, and working on military issues district-wide.

“I’m excited to welcome Lauren to our team,” Neugebauer said.  “She has a background in education and a commitment to public service.  I know that she’ll be a great help to people in West Texas and the Big Country.”

The Abilene office is the primary point of service for Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Nolan, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, Throckmorton, and Young Counties.

Neugebauer also announced that Libby Hambleton will be taking on communications work in addition to her duties as a legislative correspondent.  “I’m pleased to promote Libby to Press Assistant,” Neugebauer said.  “She’s proven to be an excellent writer and she’ll be an asset to my efforts to keep constituents updated on my work in Washington.”
