Oct 23, 2013 Issues: Happening in West Texas, Economy and Jobs, Regulations, Transportation

WASHINGTON, DC—Congressman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) released the following statement after voting to pass the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) of 2013.

“The Water Resources Reform and Development Act boosts our economy,” Neugebauer said.  “It promotes competitiveness by maintaining a strong infrastructure that helps us transport goods across America and around the world.  It cuts red tape, reduces bureaucracy, and ensures taxpayer dollars are being used efficiently.”

Neugebauer explained that the bill would benefit West Texas and the Big Country.  “For Texans, managing our water resources is a high priority.  Both Abilene and Lubbock have water infrastructure plans in development. WRRDA will streamline the Corps of Engineers’ project review and approval process, and could help expedite our local efforts.”
